Social Venture Partners (SVP) has chosen Transforming the Lives of Children and Youth at Risk for its next grantmaking cycle. The new focus area will target organizations working on solutions to the problems faced by at-risk children and families: hunger, poverty, illiteracy, obesity, and homelessness. Grant recipients will benefit not only from financial resources but also a working relationship with professionals that will focus on the organization's long-range success and growth.SVP will host a workshop for nonprofits interested in applying for an investment partnership at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 23 at the Health Foundation/Interact for Change offices in Norwood.
