Ann McCracken is responsible for working with grant recipients to design evaluation strategies that measure changes in community health outcomes and optimize the learning captured from grants and programs associated with the foundation.

Ann comes to the foundation from the University of Cincinnati (UC). A member of the faculty since 1982, and a professor in UC’s College of Nursing since 1988, Ann taught numerous graduate and undergraduate courses in gerontology, research, and evaluation methods. She also served as Director of Health Professionals at the Alois Alzheimer Center from 1987 to 1997.

She has headed several grant-funded research and training projects that focused on new ways to implement the delivery of healthcare services. In 1991–92, Ann served as J. William Fulbright Lecturer/Research Scholar at University of Oslo (Norway), and in 1996 she worked in Sydney, Australia, as recipient of the Fulbright Senior Scholar Grant.

Among her honors, Ann received UC’s Faculty Achievement Award in 1995, and the 1997 Faculty Award for Excellence in Research at the College of Nursing. In 1994, she was awarded the Frances Payne Bolton Case Western Reserve University Alumni Award for Excellence.

She is active on many professional and community boards and committees, and is a member of the American Evaluation Association, the Fulbright Association, and Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society.

Ann holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Villanova University, a Master’s Degree in Nursing from Pennsylvania State University, and a Doctorate in Nursing/Gerontology from Case Western Reserve University.
