Jennifer directs The Health Foundation of Greater Cincinnati’s Health Data Improvement Program.  In this capacity, Jennifer leads the Foundation’s effort to improve regional health data improvement through increased understanding of the importance of data-driven decision making, improved data access and standardization.  Jennifer works with grant recipients on issues related to data collection, management and analysis.  

Jennifer came to The Health Foundation from The Institute for Policy Research (IPR) at The University of Cincinnati.  At the IPR she worked on a number of influential regional projects including: JETS (Jobs for the Economy of Tomorrow System) a web-based job vacancy and re-training analysis for the Southwestern region of Ohio, Cincinnati in Black and White 2007, an analysis of racial disparities in the City, and on data collection and analysis for The United Way’s State of the Community Report. 

Prior to relocating to Cincinnati, Jennifer had several years of national and international policy and research experience.  She worked at the Centre for Employment Studies in Moncalieri, Italy doing quantitative and qualitative research on early retirement issues for a European Union study.  Before that Jennifer worked at the Bayer Center for Nonprofit Management at Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, PA.  Her responsibilities there included management level consulting to nonprofits and qualitative market research. 

Jennifer is currently enrolled in The University of Cincinnati’s Ph.D. program in Regional Development Planning with an emphasis on obesity and the built environment.  She also holds a Master’s of Science in Public Policy and Management from the H. John Heinz III School of Public Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor’s Degree from Purdue University in Communications.
