Janice Bogner works with organizations throughout the foundation’s 20-county area to develop innovative programs that deal with severe mental illness. She is responsible for working with grant applicants and grant recipients, following projects from concept to completion of project.

Janice began her career as psychiatric social worker working with the criminal justice system in Cincinnati followed by appointment as Director of Psychiatric Social Work at the University Hospital.

Janice worked for The University Hospital, a member hospital of the Health Alliance of Greater Cincinnati for 21 years. Her last position there was the Director of Social Work with responsibilities that included overseeing medical and psychiatric social work services in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency areas of the hospital.

She also maintains a volunteer faculty title of Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry in the University of Cincinnati Department of
Psychiatry.

Janice is a licensed independent social worker in Ohio, a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers (ACSW), and a board certified Diplomat in Clinical Social Work (BCD). She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from the Ohio State University and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Washington University, in St. Louis Missouri.
