The numbers of uninsured and underinsured residents in our communities continues to grow, and the resources of the providers to these populations are increasingly strained. Recognizing the challenges to safety net providers in delivering adequate and efficient care to their patients, the Health Foundation chose Community Primary Care as one of its four focused areas of grantmaking.
