Funding Interests
Community Health Development
The Health Foundation of Greater Cincinnati commits most of its resources to grants that fund projects in our four focused areas of health need in our community. In addition, the Foundation awards grants to organizations seeking funds to support a broad range of health-related programs that do not fall within the Foundation's focused areas of grantmaking.
These grants outside the focus areas fall into the following:
To provide strategic assistance to projects important to the Foundation
- FreeStore / FoodBank's Health & Hygiene Program
- Evaluation of the Women's Cardiovascular Assessment, Risk Reduction and Education initiative in Northern Kentucky
- Center for Respite Care- Organizational capacity building and board development
- St. Vincent de Paul Community Pharmacy service expansion support and challenge grant
- MedShare Pharmacy
To support organizational capacity building
- Capacity Building Programs for Nonprofits-our ongoing workshops to help our grantees and other regional nonprofits to become self-sufficient
To support and assist with research, analysis, and communication related to regional health policy
- Health Policy Institute of Ohio Operating Support
To provide standardized regional health data updated periodically to track trends and benchmark health data
- Greater Cincinnati Health Status Survey
