In 2004, The Center for Effective Philanthropy (CEP) surveyed3,513 grantee organizations from 29 foundations, includng the Health Foundation. In this survey, the CEP found that the Health Foundation ranked very highly on survey questions related to two of the factors most valued by grantees: “Quality of Interactions with Foundation Staff” and “Clarity of Communication of a Foundation’s Goals and Strategy.” Our grantees rated us above average throughout the survey overall. In addition, in its analysis report of our grantees’ responses, the CEP noted that The Health Foundation of Greater Cincinnati was “Overall, an exemplary funder.”
