Results

Specific community goals include:

  • reducing case processing time through screening of the charge and prior juvenile records and administering the Youth Addiction Severity Index. (This will fast track juvenile participants into community-based treatment services, with an Individualized Program Plan within 14 days.)
  • reducing drug use as measured by urine drug testing. (It is expected that positive urinalysis results will decrease with time in the program.)
  • reducing recidivism rates. (Recidivism will be measured by felony and misdemeanor arrests or petitions filed against juvenile participating in the program. Ongoing evaluations will demonstrate program effectiveness by following Administrative Office of the Court's uniform methods of maintaining and reporting statistics.)
  • implementing a family program that utilizes community strengths and bridges gaps to provide case management, supervision, and primarily outpatient family treatment. Effectiveness will be measured by number served; retention, termination, and graduation rates; education advancement; court appearances; and treatment services.
