Results In 2001, The Health Foundation of Greater Cincinnati, through the CaraNet Corporation, funded a grant to study the delivery of mental health services to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community and develop a service plan to meet the needs identified as unmet. It was found that the service delivery system in the Tri-state area is fragmented with few programs providing an appropriate level of service to the deaf community. Efforts to increase the level of service to this population would require interagency and interstate coordination. This grant will result in a plan that will allow clients to receive specialized services throughout the region.
