Results The mission of the Consortium for Strengthening Communities (CSC) was to improve the quality of life in the Greater Cincinnati region by building the performance capabilities of not-for-profit and community organizations (organization building) and facilitating effective collaboration among not-for-profit organizations and the community (community building). CSC dissolved in 2005.

Resource Map of Managment and Technical Assistance Providers Serving the Nonprofit Sector

Results

Nonprofit executives identified a need for a consultant resource.  A consultant directory providing nonprofits with detailed information was created.  The directory is the most comprehensive of its kind in this region.  Demand from local organizations required the printing of several hundred copies beyond the initial printing and dissemination.

DPPR believes that this study provides insights into the formation of a management support organization (MSO).  However, this study calls for a more in-depth look into nonprofit and consultant and communities to determine if there truly is a need for creating a MSO.
