HFGC funded the Grantmaker Assistance Program (GAP) which is designed to assist grantmakers as they implement activities to help communities maintain and improve local health and human service systems. Grantmakers in Health (GIH) serves the professional needs of trustees, executives, and program staff of private foundations and corporate giving programs in health philanthropy. GAP was designed to provide information resources, technical assistance, referrals to expert consultants, networking opportunities, and other services to individual grantmakers and the general grantmaking community. Grantmakers' responses to GIH workshops, networking opportunities, and assistance have been very positive. GIH will continue and strengthen its efforts to be a specialized resource for individual grantmaking organizations and programs for the general health grantmaking community. |
