Results Career Services opened its doors for business in October of 1998 and is operated by Queen City/Mitchell (QC/M) Mental Health Services. Career Services is a comprehensive treatment program for adults with co-occurring disorders of substance abuse and mental health. Participants in the program can expect to achieve goals related to mental health, sobriety, and employment. Career Services is based on a philosophy of treating both the mental health and substance abuse issues concurrently.

Each participant in the program is matched with a Career Counselor. The counselor first completes an assessment of strengths, interests, and goals, as well as substance abuse and mental health issues, employment history, family and social supports, and medical history. The Career Counselor works with the participant to develop time specific goals and develops a service package for the individual that can include skill-based groups, individual counseling, in-depth career exploration, job coaching, and other activities. All services are focused on assisting the participant to obtain and maintain employment while remaining sober and stable. The program offers 20 workshops per week on the topics of employment, substance abuse, and mental health.

During the first year of services, 75% of participants obtained employment and 83% maintained employment for at least ten weeks. In addition, 100% of participants showed improvement in their scores on the Addiction Severity Index, which was given at intake and after twelve weeks of program participation.
