  • Kentucky Medicaid Overview (September 2003)--Kentucky Medicaid provides a broad range of health services to over 660,000 low-income working families, children, and aged, blind, and disabled Kentuckians. This publication provides an overview of eligibility, services, delivery systems, financing, and resources.
  • Ohio Medicaid Basics (February 2003)--Produced with the George Gund Foundation, Ohio Medicaid Basics provides an overview of Ohio Medicaid, including eligibility, key programs, and financing and expenditures. Evaluation

  • Are Projects Sustained When Our Funding Ends? (August 2007)--As part of our evaluation of our work, we asked past grantees: “What happens to projects after Health Foundation funding ends?”For this survey on sustainability, we only looked at start-up and expansion grants whose Health Foundation funding ended between January 2004 and December 2006.
  • Grantee Experiences with our Evaluation Process (June 2007)--In 2005, we participated in a Grantee Perception Survey conducted by the Center for Effective Philanthropy. Recently, we conducted a follow-up survey to find out more about our grantees’ experiences with our evaluation process. Specifically, we wanted to find ways to make the evaluation process as easy and useful as possible.
  • Grantee Guide to Evaluation (February 2008)--The Health Foundation of Greater Cincinnati supports evaluation in the projects it funds in order to learn as much as possible from the experiences of its grantees. This booklet will guide your efforts in developing the evaluation(s) for your project.

  • Greater Cincinnati Community Health Status Survey 2002 (January 2003)--These survey results are from interviews with over 2,000 randomly selected adults residing in a 22-county Greater Cincinnati area, including eight counties in Ohio, nine counties in Kentucky, and five counties in Indiana.
  • Greater Cincinnati Hispanic/Latino Health Survey 2005 English version (March 2006)--This report presents the results of a survey of Hispanic/Latino adults in Greater Cincinnati, conducted in Fall 2005. Topics include access to care, acculturation, cigarette and alcohol use, health insurance coverage, health status, mental health, and prenatal care and birth outcomes, as well as a demographic overview of respondents.
  • Greater Cincinnati Hispanic/Latino Health Survey 2005 Spanish version (November 2006)--This report is written in Spanish and presents the results of a survey of Hispanic/Latino adults in Greater Cincinnati, conducted in Fall 2005. Topics include access to care, acculturation, cigarette and alcohol use, health insurance coverage, health status, mental health, and prenatal care and birth outcomes, as well as a demographic overview of respondents.
  • Meeting the Challenge of an Aging Population in Greater Cincinnati (November 2001)--This report examines the aging population in Greater Cincinnati , including health issues, available services, and the impact that the aging Baby Boom generation will have on the aging service system.
  • Physician Recruitment and Retention in Greater Cincinnati (March 2008)--This study discusses if the Greater Cincinnati area has enough physicians and specialists to provide care for the people of our region. Working with The Doctors' Foundation, the Health Foundation commissioned this paper to learn more about physician recruitment and retention in Greater Cincinnati.
  • Prevention from the Harm of Health Illiteracy in Ohio (November 2000)--This report examines health illiteracy in a 36-county Ohio region and offers solutions to the problem.
  • Prevention of Family Violence in The Anthem Foundation of Ohio's Service Area (September 2000)--A look at the prevalence of family violence in a 36-county Ohio region as well as effective nation- and statewide prevention programs.
  • Prevention of Lead Exposure in Ohio (November 2000)--This report examines lead exposure in a 36-county Ohio region, how it affects children, and what coordinated measures are being taken to counter the harmful effects of exposure.
  • Preventive Oral Health Care in the Anthem Foundation of Ohio's Service Area (May 2000)--This report explores the status of oral health in a 36-county area in Ohio and examines the current and best practices used to address oral health needs.
  • Proceedings from the Health & Employment Roundtable (September 1999)--This report contains the proceedings of this roundtable focusing on employment and health, including the papers presented by each of the participating grantees.
