Non-Profit Resources

In order to have a lasting effect on the health of the community, the innovative programs funded by The Health Foundation of Greater Cincinnati need to continue after this funding ends. Therefore, the Health Foundation is invested in helping grantees' projects become financially self-sufficient.

We have developed a series of resources available to grantees and other non-profits to help them build the skills and resources necessary to continue their programs after start-up grants end. These resources are targeted to smaller non-profit organizations that do not have staff positions devoted to evaluation, marketing, fundraising, and development. These resources will help innovative, effective projects to operate long after the start-up grant period ends.

These resources include:

  • Capacity Building Workshops on topics such as advocacy, business planning, communications, evaluation, fundraising, and others;
  • Consultations, coaching, and assistance with:
    • Grant implementation, such as problem solving and troubleshooting issues that arise as grantees go about their work or helping with fundraising and advocacy strategies;
    • Evaluation, including the evaluation packet the Health Foundation requires of its grantees;
    • Health Data; and
    • Communications; and
  • Peer resources, such as on-line discussion groups and convened grantee groups that allow grantees to share problems, solutions, results, and other information.

In addition, our subsidiary, the Health Foundation Fund, offers the following resources:
